MOTHER’S DAY 2009

On Sunday May 10^th it was celebration time at the veterans’ post at 132-16 Rockaway.

After an appropriate opening tribute presented by Member Leonard McLean, the mothers were treated to an entertaining program of poetry and songs.

June Barrington and Yvette Abdool were outstanding poets for the day.

Calypsonian Stewartie dished out his own compositions.

Veterans Jeggae and Cossia were on hand to produce a rollicking session of folk music.

The Executive Committee led by Member Lennox Pyle are to be congratulated for producing this memorable bash. Decorations were created by Yvette Abdool. The Mothers were HAPPY.

It was elegance mixed with down to earth GT fun.
