The GDF Veterans Assn Of L.A celebrated its 10th anniversary with a gala dinner/dance on Saturday 25th Sept 2010
In attendance and representing the XGDF Assn of NY were the President and Mrs. Johnny Glasgow, Mr. & Mrs. Bunny Stewart
Mr. & Mrs. Simon Thomas, Ms Elizabeth Griffith and Ms Ingrid Griffith.

The NY reps wish to thank Secretary General Perry Foo & Ms Dawn Baird  and the L.A group for their kind hospitality with special thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Louis Abrigo,
Mr. & Mrs. Dudley Nurse and Ms Patsy Austin (Daly) who did so much to make the trip a memorable one.

The weekend ended with a L.A style bang hosted by the Sect Gen of the L.A group.

On behalf of the NY chapter, the president presented a silver plate appropriately inscribed to commemorate the occasion.

 

14th Annual Gregory Griffith Memorial Dominoes Tournament a success.
 
                           

                                           


 

On Sunday 3rd October 2010 the Griffith family hosted the  14th annual Gregory Griffith Memorial
Dominoes Tournament with three teams, Team Zephyr, Team Griffith and
Team XGDF competing for the coveted trophy . Despite the spirited play of the other teams, Team Zephyr emerged the winners. 

At the end of the competition the president of the XGDF Assn addressed the gathering, he recalled that Danny was a kind
generous person who gave a lot to ensure success in the early days of our building ownership.  He then
thanked and congratulated the Griffith family for keeping the memory of Danny alive.

On Tuesday, October 12, 2010 under UPDATES AND REMINDERS on the XGDF website (www.xgdf.com) -  there was an announcement of the death of Ex-Captain Egbert Fields of Air Corps.
 
Please disregard this information as Capt. Fields has not passed away - he is very much alive.
