The XGDF Association of New York observes the passing on Monday 14th February of Henry Fraser (Uncle Henry), former Commissioner of the Guyana Police Force (1973 to 1977), a policeman and nationalist revered by his subordinates, associates and family and highly respected by the administrators under whom he served.
Mr. Fraser was the father of our own stalwart I.C. Fraser, and a father figure to a whole range of officers and other-ranks of the early GDF.
The Executive and Membership of the XGDF of NY extends its deepest sympathy to his widow Mrs. Flora Fraser, and to his children and grandchildren as well as to the other members of his extended family.
