XGDF GEORGIA ANNUAL BBQ 2009
 

The first Annual BBQ of the XGDF Association of Georgia was held on Saturday 23rd May 2009 at the home of the Treasurer Fitzroy Corlette in Conyers. Members and friends had a great time until rain rudely interrupted the festivity. The President of the Association Gwen Davis  expressed satisfaction with the turnout. Included on the visitors list was Brig. General E. Collins, Col B. Lovell,  and former GDF pilot Beverly Drakes-Johnson (now serving with the US National Transportation Safety Board-NTSB). A delegation of XGDF New York included I.C. Fraser (President ), Thelma Singh (Past President), and Veronica Rollins (Vice-President). Photos show many other veterans....old faces,- maybe difficult to recognize, ...but ,as usual, this was another refreshing reunion event. Some of the executive members are wearing green jerseys with the XGDF Georgia logo.

The festivities with XGDF Georgia continued on Sunday 24th May 2009, with a Fun BBQ hosted by Executive Member Roy Blackman (veteran maritime officer) at his Stone Mountain home.
